Nearly 85,000 Chevy Silverado EV Work Trucks Have Been Ordered

Chevy Silverado EV Work Trucks | Ressler Chevrolet

Earlier this year, Chevrolet reported that over 140,000 orders have been placed for the new Chevy Silverado EV across its multiple trim levels. That number has continued to grow, and according to GM Authority, up to 85,000 orders are for the Work Truck fleet trim.

The fleet orders have been placed by around 370 companies looking to add to or replace their current fleets with electrified models. Part of this, said GM Fleet vice president Ed Peper, is that service is simpler and more affordable for EVs compared to combustion engine-driven trucks.

It’s not hard to see why companies are interested in the Silverado EV. The electrified version of the iconic pickup boasts impressive towing and hauling ratings, with over 780 lb-ft of torque powering it. Chevy says the Silverado EV Work Truck will eventually be able to tow up to 20,000 pounds.

The 2024 Silverado EV can also drive up to 400 miles on a single charge, and with more EV charging stations popping up every year, it’s easier and faster than ever to charge EVs on the go.[1] Companies will definitely save a lot of money on fuel costs by using EVs.

The Silverado EV doesn’t release until spring of next year. But you can contact us at Ressler Chevrolet in Bozeman, Montana, to learn more about this innovative truck!

Everything We Know About the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer

2023 Chevrolet Blazer | Bozeman, MT

The 2023 Blazer, the ultra-sporty mid-size SUV from Chevy, will introduce tons of exciting changes from the previous model year. From refreshed styling to new technology and more, the 2023 Chevy Blazer is modern, eye-catching, and super advanced.

You can expect the same thrilling performance as outgoing models, but with even better tech and more cosmetic options. The Blazer keeps its two engine options, a 2.0-liter Turbo I-4 and a 3.6-liter DOHC V6. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Chevy has redesigned the front fascia and updated the grille design with an all-black look, including a black bowtie emblem outlined in silver. The sharp LED headlights are cut finer than ever, and they stand out strikingly against the black grille.

A new Nightshift Blue interior is available on the RS trim, and you can opt for several new body colors including gray, copper, and red. There are even new wheels available in 18-inch, 20-inch, and 21-inch sizes, letting you stand out on the road and get better traction.

In terms of tech, the Blazer gets some premium upgrades, like the new 10-inch digital touchscreen, which is standard at all trim levels. The Blazer also makes wireless charging more widely available. You can add it to the 2LT and 3LT trims at an additional cost, or get it standard on the RS and Premier trims.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 | Bozeman, MT

The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 didn’t just get a redesign this year — it got a whole new flagship model in the ZR2, a trim designed specifically for off-roading.

The Silverado ZR2 boasts specialized upgrades like large underbody aluminum skid plates, off-road calibration to its chassis and suspension, and a steel front bumper that allows for an improved approach angle. It also features Terrain Mode, so you can rock crawl with only one pedal, and the first Multimatic DSSV™ dampers ever used on a Silverado.

Before its release, Chevrolet entered a prototype Silverado ZR2 in the Best in the Desert off-road racing event. According to Dom Lester, General Motors’ chief engineer of Performance Variants, Parts and Motorsports Engineering, “We applied what we learned in racing and Moab testing to the new ZR2 to offer a supremely capable and confidence-inspiring package, but one that doesn’t beat you up on the highway with its ride quality. It’s equally capable and comfortable.”

The ZR2 is easily recognizable from the outside too, with a unique grille and “flow-tie” emblem, as well as a black hood insert. The interior has been redesigned with special leather trimmings, a more spacious layout, and a standard 13.4-inch infotainment screen.

Come check out all of the Silverado ZR2’s new features when it arrives at Ressler Chevrolet.

Chevy Gives Sneak Peek of All-New Equinox EV

2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV | Bozeman, MT

As part of its rollout of next-gen electric vehicles, Chevrolet has announced an EV version of the Chevrolet Equinox SUV. As Chevrolet’s top-selling SUV, this represents a particularly exciting step forward in the development of its electric fleet.

The Equinox EV will be available in fleet and retail versions, including LT and RS trims. Like Chevrolet’s other new EVs, it will be built on the brand’s Ultium battery platform. According to Steve Hill, Chevrolet’s vice president, “The Equinox has always played an important role for Chevrolet as the second-highest selling brand nameplate. Providing an affordable EV option in the industry’s highest volume segment proves Chevy is going to make EVs available to everyone.”

When the Equinox EV arrives, it will join the upcoming Blazer EV (arriving spring 2023) and the Silverado EV. Both are popular vehicles in their conventional forms, and the latter is already reporting impressive range, acceleration, and torque capabilities.

To support these new vehicles’ development, Chevrolet is using their flexible Ultium platform as well as their Ultifi software platform, which will enable vehicles to more easily keep their software up to date, as well as provide easy access to upgrades, personalization, and apps.

The Equinox EV will be available in fall 2023, so keep an eye out for more updates from our team at Ressler Chevrolet about this electrifying new vehicle.

Here comes the mighty Chevrolet Silverado EV! This innovative, capable, and completely electric truck boasts some of Chevy’s most advanced technologies and most versatile capabilities.

Your first question is probably about the Silverado EV’s range. The lineup is launching next spring with Work Truck and RST trims that will be able to drive 400 miles on a single charge.[1] That’s almost enough for a Montana road trip from Bozeman to Missoula and back.

You may also be wondering how much the Silverado EV can tow and haul. The WT trim will be rated for 8,000 pounds of max towing and a 1,200-pound payload, while the RST will boast 10,000 pounds of towing and a 1,300-pound payload. Eventually, a variant with up to 20,000 pounds of max towing will be added as well.

Curious about some of the Silverado EV’s other top features and capabilities? Consider these: an available 10.2kW PowerBase charging system that can power tools or a whole house, a handy Multi-Flex Midgate that opens into the cab, an e4WD system with four-wheel steering, hands-free Super Cruise tech, and (for the RST) the ability to zip from 0-60 mph in as little as 4.5 seconds.[2]
